About Us

Our history

In an industry as vital and multifaceted as energy, women have historically been underrepresented, particularly in leadership roles. This disparity is more than a statistic; it's a missed opportunity for growth, innovation, and progress. Currently, only a fraction of women hold leadership positions in this vital sector, and it's time we change that.

Advancing Women in Energy officially launched in October 2016 to recruit, promote and develop women in energy, energy-related fields, and those interested in energy through education, networking and mentoring. Our goal is to increase the number of women in all facets of the energy industry, particularly in leadership roles, to benefit the industry and society.

Our goal isn't just to improve statistics; it's to create a brighter, more inclusive future for the energy sector and society as a whole. We are a nonprofit organization with a purpose to ignite change by connecting, empowering, and advancing women within the energy industry.
