Melissa E. Samuels, M.A. is an energy performance and management professional with extensive experience supporting energy efficiency, clean energy, and workforce development initiatives across the utility, public-sector, and nonprofit sectors. She is the Principal of Aligned Energy Performance Consulting, where she provides strategic advisory, program design, and implementation oversight services for commercial, institutional, and community-based energy initiatives.
Melissa’s work focuses on aligning energy performance strategy with funding, compliance, and workforce readiness, with particular emphasis on collaborative, multi-stakeholder programs. Her background includes supporting utility-funded initiatives, apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs, contractor readiness, and partnerships that advance equitable access to clean energy careers.
As Board Membership Chair for Advancing Women in Energy, Melissa is committed to strengthening member engagement, leadership development, and inclusive pathways for women across the energy sector. She brings a systems-oriented, collaborative approach to board leadership and is passionate about mentoring and supporting women at all stages of their energy careers.
