Cherish Smith is a Director at Edison Energy leading the Transportation Electrification Advisory Team which provides advisory services to organizations as they consider electric vehicles (EVs) and alternative fuel vehicles, and on-site charging infrastructure. Cherish guides organizations to build a business case, develop a strategic vision and actionable roadmap for fleet conversion.
Prior to joining Edison Energy, Cherish was at Guidehouse consulting as a Director in the Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure (ES&I) segment. Cherish has extensive experience in EV program design and delivery, utility rate analysis, and commercial energy efficiency programs. While at Guidehouse, Cherish led multi-year portfolio client engagements with cross-functional project teams. In addition to working at Guidehouse, Cherish also has direct industrial and commercial experience in her time at Johnson Controls as an Energy Solutions Engineer. Cherish was selected in 2020 as Energy News Network’s 40 under 40 as an emerging leader in transitioning the U.S. to a clean energy economy and currently serves on the Ann Arbor Energy Commission. Cherish is a Certified Energy Auditor and earned her M.Eng. in Environmental Engineering and B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, both from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
